Read the article on JSI in the May 09 Handyman Magazine though we must point out a small mistake: the photo on the second page with the caption "Hire A Hubby worked on this house, ripping up the carpet to sand and polish the floorboards" is actually a JSI job. We worked on the flooring, built the staircase, bi-fold doors, painted the room and even installed the fishtank in the wall! Just thought we'd mention it.

We recently did some fairly extensive renovations by adding a bedroom, deck and recladding and painting the whole house. The quality of the work was absolutely first class. The main builder Bruce's work was amazing and he kept us informed of issues and costs along the way. Most of all his attention to detail was second to none. Similarly JSI's painter Marlon was excellent. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the end result and would recommend JSI to anyone undertaking small or large renovations.

We can't comment highly enough about the people at Just Screw It. Nothing is too much trouble, and the work they have done at our house is absolutely spot-on. Some small imperfections were fixed immediately (including some we did ourselves). Experience means everything and it is obvious they have been in the market for a long time. Dear Chad, I'm just writing to report that both the jobs at my place have been finished. Scott did a brilliant job. I think I told you that two other people tried to fix the sliding door and failed. Its some unusual European system. Scott came and calmly took it apart, figured it all out, hung the door and then put it all back together. It works perfectly now. Equally good job with laundry doors. Both jobs very professionally finished. He was on time, v efficient and quick and cleaned up. Can't ask for better.

Tomasz and Pavel have just left. I was actually sad to see them go! Cheerful, capable and very hard working, they have done a superb job in stabilizing, securing and repairing a large stone and timber garden room that was being pushed over by a massive tree. They also expertly fixed a whole list of jobs inside the house, to my complete satisfaction. The premises have been left spotless, and all rubble taken away to the tip.

Just Screw It carried out extensions to our home over 6 months from March 08 to August 08. This essentially involved opening up the rear of the house to the backyard.

In detail the work involved the following:

• Reconstruction of the rear sunroom, including new sliding doors and louvre windows, plasterboard, painting and new timber flooring;
• Fitting out the existing laundry including new plumbing, tiling, plasterboard and painting;
• Removal of the existing living room wall, fireplace and matching existing floorboards where the fireplace once stood;
• Construction of a large timber deck and pergola and low retaining walls;
• Construction of a new carport and concrete driveway.

The final construction cost was at the higher end of the range Chad indicated, however design changes did occur along the way and additional work was carried out that was not in the original scope.

We would recommend Just Screw It highly and wish them all the success in the future.

Chad was running 20 minutes late to provide our quote and not only called to let us know but enquired as to whether this was still convenient for us or whether another time would be more suitable. As I mentioned to you, my husband and I were extremely impressed with your workers. We think that the quality of their work was very high and they were diligent and hard working. They were very pleasant to deal with, obliging and always completely willing to accommodate any requests or suggestions made by us (even down to agreeing not to do the noisier parts of the job while our two year old was asleep!). By way of background, we hired Just Screw It originally for a small job - replacement of a ceiling with cornice. The the team were efficient and the finish excellent that we arranged for them to complete the remainder of the renovations on our rental property. The final outcome of this property was of high standard and we were able to optimise the rent on the property.

With our situation changing, we relocated to Singapore and required our residence to be put into a rentable state. Chad managed the renovation for us, as we had already relocated to Singapore, and sent through photos to keep us aware of the stages completed. He provided honest opinion and at times talked us out of certain changes as he believed it unnecessary. He was also flexible to our needs as further issues arose that needed fixing, which he attended to without complaint or issue.

I have found Chad and his team to be honest, with a high detail to workmanship and efficient. I would highly recommend him over other builders. For note, I requested my brother to do a final inspection of our property and, given he has just completed a major renovation to his property in Birchgrove, was impressed and disappointed that I did not make him aware of Chad and his company.
